Since its birth in 1996, Solas has been loudly proclaimed as the most popular, influential, and exciting Celtic band to ever emerge from the United States. Even before the release of its first Shanachie CD, the Boston Herald trumpeted the quartet as “the first truly great Irish band to arise from America,” and the Irish Echo ranked Solas among the “most exciting bands anywhere in the world.” Since then, the praise has only grown louder. The Philadelphia Inquirer said they make “mind-blowing Irish folk music, maybe the world’s best.” The New York Times praised their “unbridled vitality“, the Washington Post dubbed them one of the “world’s finest Celtic-folk ensembles” and the Austin American-Statesman called them “the standard by which contemporary Celtic groups are judged.”

Strangers from distant lands, friends of old. You are invited to step into the universe of An Danzza. A music project inspired in the magic and culture of long passed times. An Danzza was born in 2004 as a solitary project of Andres Campuzano in order to give expression to all his musical interests. The origin of the name comes from the name of its founder ‘An’ and the Spanish word for dance (danza), as music of old was composed mainly for dancing. The double ‘z’ is an ornament and also a wink to his two surnames (yes, in Spain we use two surnames, our mothers are very important for us). Joined together Andanzza also sounds like the word ‘quest’ in Spanish.

Nightnoise是一个原汁原味的凯而特人音乐组合,其中三人来自爱尔兰,一人来自苏格兰,夜囂组合以长笛、吉他、弦乐加键盘音乐,以传统凯而特民谣为底子,再揉和当代比较流行的曲风,jazz,等,演绎出令人耳目一新的新世纪音乐。
女声主唱Triona,曲风轻柔优雅,也是令人风靡的一大原因。
1983年以来,他们开启了全新─但不脱尽传统─的新克尔特乐时代,创作了相当多脍炙人口的经典曲目,让传统民谣显得轻盈灵巧,
却兼具了经典重量感。
《曼妙月舞》是夜嚣在Windham Hill所发行的第七张,也是他们的最后一张专辑。
这张「半现场合辑」,其中除了新曲之外,亦加收了三轨(Shuan、Night in That Land、At the Races)难得一闻在西班牙的现场演出版,其余的曲子是在俄勒冈波特兰的White Horse Studio录音室录制的。

Dervish is one of Ireland’s most exciting tradition-rooted bands. With its combination of virtuosic instrumentation, high-energy arrangements and the ultra-sweet vocals of Cathy Jordan, Dervish continues to weave its own path in Ireland’s great musical heritage. Although the group formally came together in 1988, the roots of Dervish trace back much further. Flute and tin whistle player Liam Kelly and accordion player Shane Mitchell first collaborated at the age of seven and nine, respectively. Within three years, the duo was playing regularly at a pub owned by Kelly’s father. During high school, the two musicians formed a band called Pointin. Although the group placed first in a contest at the Ballyshannon Folk Festival and appeared on popular Irish television program The Late Late Show, the group failed to record. While attending college in Sligo, Kelly and Mitchell performed with a rock band called Who Says What. The band RÚN (Rún – from Gaelic: secret, intention, motion (of a dialog); in the word-combination a rún – my love, my dear) was founded in 2001 as a result of its members’ “Celtic mania” and their striving for creative activity. Since then we perform traditional music of Celtic peoples in the form it exists nowadays, focusing primarily on Irish music. We study the authentic performance manner and try to play our repertoire on traditional instruments. Beside frequent gigs played in their native Kiev, the band performed successfully in concert halls, pubs and clubs of many other Ukrainian cities, as well as in Moscow, St-Petersburg, Belgorod (Russia) and Minsk (Belarus). Throughout the band’s existence, RÚN participated in numerous musical and historical festivals as well as in cultural and artistic events held both in Ukraine and in neighboring countries. The band’s members met with authentic Irish music performers abroad and attended workshops on playing the traditional musical instruments. 爱尔兰男声现代凯尔特民谣团83年的专辑。
The Fureys are an Irish male folk band. They have also been credited as The Fureys and Davey Arthur.
The group formed in 1978 and consisted initially of four brothers . The band later met Davey Arthur and had their biggest commercial successes working with him.
Prior to the band two of the brothers toured as a duet known simply by their names as Eddie and Finbar Furey. Their brother Paul Furey had, together with Davey Arthur and Brendan Leeson, a band called “The Buskers”. Both were part of a very successful tour through Germany called the “Irish Folk Festival”, first in 1974, where they performed as “The Furey Brothers” and later as “The Furey Family”. Here they were joined by their father Ted, a famous fiddler, who was 73 at that time.
